The Salmon River is known for world class whitewater and Yellow Jack River Guides has a boat to match everyone's desired excitement level. 

They offer oar boats, where passengers relax and let the guide do the work; paddle boats where paddlers and the guide work together to negotiate the rapids; thrilling inflatable kayaks, where one or two people paddle a small craft; or you can bring your own kayak or canoe. The rapids are rated "Class III", which translates to an exciting, yet safe, ride. Your safety is the only thing more important to us than your enjoyment.

The Salmon River offers so much more than whitewater. There are long stretches of peaceful flat water, ideal for swimming, learning to row or trying out another craft. It's not uncommon that in these sections that you could catch a glimpse of a moose, bear, or golden eagle. The Salmon River also has outstanding fishing opportunities about for the family angler. 

Each day the guides stop for side trips to see things like; Sheepeater Indian Photographs, pioneer homesteads, abandoned mining claims, and even hot springs. You'll also have the chance to take longer hikes, explore canyon sides or climb to breath-taking vistas.

Each night they camp at beautiful white sand beaches where the guides prepare gourmet meals all while you fish, hike, swim, read, or enjoy a cocktail by the campfire. The menu features savory fresh meats, locally grown vegetables, and irresistible desserts.
